ADIDAS FORUM LOW
"TRADING CARDS"
A product-repurposing project rooted in basketball history and nostalgia, using real vintage college & pro basketball trading cards.

1984:
The adidas Forum launches. Designed to be a basketball shoe suitable for all positions, it became an instant classic and mainstay for whole teams throughout the 80s.

1991:
The #8 and #4 (‘84) picks in the NBA Draft are Mark Macon and Dikembe Mutombo, respectively. Macon played for Temple in the late 80s, who's team was outfitted by adidas at the time. Mutombo would go on to have his own adidas shoe while later playing in the NBA.
2022:
You open up a box of your dad’s old things he had stored in the attic. In it, amongst lots of 80s relics, you find his old pair of Forums from when he played as a teen, and stacks of old basketball cards he once collected. Time and dust have caused a couple cards to stick to the shoes - freezing moments in basketball history across the Three Stripes.
